I was very pleased with my first experience at Good News Auto and will definitely bring my vehicles to them for any future repairs. |

Service was good and friendly. I had a loaner car ready when I arrived. The explanation of my alignment repair was a little confusing though. After some back and forth explanations, I was informed as to why repairs were needed. Also, I had purchased rims and tires a year ago from Good News Auto and I needed a tire rotation, but this was an additional $40 charge to me. Most other tire vendors offer free rotation for customers that purchase from them. Something for Good News Auto to consider. |

I wish there was a more detailed report to justify the hour reviewing fee. My car was missing one screw for the battery fuse and this was the reason why the car did not start and the charge was $130. I would have been happier if GN was able to comment on the car charger not working or any upcoming maintenance the car needs. GN also wanted $100 to install a battery which I thought was high considering it only takes a few minutes to do. Over the phone, GN was professional during the process of getting the car to the shop. |

I really, really wanted to have this be the perfect place, but my experience wasn't stellar. Went in for a possible break noise & a trunk release button on the outside of the trunk. Was told I needed new front brakes as rotors were rusting & that they would have to order in a new button. Paid the bill and went to get my car. They simply left the button hanging outside of trunk, so I had to go back in to get them to at least tape it down like it was when I brought it in. As I was waiting I looked at the bill & saw I was charged $130.00 for them to look at the button, even though I was told they only charge for the time spend. I pointed this out & they gave me a credit. Was also charged for a $85 for the brake inspection which I thought would go against the repair but it didn't. So after I took my car back to get the front brakes done & the button release installed I received a call & was told "remember we said we needed to do your back breaks also?" 100% no you did not say that. So that just doubled my bill. I wanted a few moments to think about it & said I would call back. When I tried to call back numerous times I could never get anyone to answer the phone. I left a message but no one got back to me so I kept calling. Finally I got through & told them to go ahead with the back brakes, because frankly I didn't know if this was legit, but felt I couldn't take the chance. I received a call later saying the brakes were done, but the button ordered/received was the wrong one and I would have to bring my car back again. So again I picked it up brought it home & had to reschedule it again. Brought it back once I was assured the correct part was in and waited for the job to be done. I only waited about 45 minutes for that to be done, so that was ok. In total my bill was $1125.76 which at Christmas time (or any time for that matter), is not great. Let me say again, I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY WANTED THIS TO BE MY PLACE. |
